Self-hosted

Self-hosted on purpose

Your freelance business is sensitive: client names, rates, budgets, private conversations. Frely keeps all of it on hardware you own.

🔒 Data stays home

Everything lives in a Postgres database on your machine. No cloud sync you cannot audit, no vendor reading your client list. A backup file is a complete copy of your business.

🔑 Your AI, your key

Bring your own key from any OpenAI-compatible provider. No middleman markup, no shared quota, no prompt logs on someone else’s server. Only the text you send for analysis leaves the machine.

🚪 Leave anytime

No lock-in by design: export your data as SQL anytime, or just keep the whole container volume. If Frely disappeared tomorrow, your business data would not notice.

What this means in practice

  • NDA-friendly: client work stays inside your network
  • GDPR posture is simple: you are the data processor, there is no third party to subpoena
  • Works offline: local network, no internet, Frely still runs
  • Updates are pull-and-restart, and you choose when
