Is it really free?+

The Free edition is free forever: local AI drafting, clients, files and tasks, no per-request cost. Pro is a one-time purchase at launch ($59 for the first 100), and waitlist members lock that price.

Do I need to be technical?+

No. You install the app like any other program, the AI model downloads on first launch. If you can install Chrome, you are overqualified.

Where does my data live?+

On your machine. Nothing syncs to us because there is no "us" server. Backups are one file you own.

Does it phone home or collect telemetry?+

No. After installation Frely works fully offline: drafts, client data and project files never leave your laptop. API connections happen only if you add a key yourself.

Does it work without an API key?+

Yes. Everyday drafting runs on a lightweight local model right on your machine, even on a regular laptop. API keys are optional, for heavier project work.

Which AI providers can I plug in?+

Any OpenAI-compatible one: OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Azure, or a local Ollama model. You set the monthly spending limit in settings, and it only matters if you use keys.

Can it really read a client's mood?+

It reads the thread the way a good assistant would: tone, urgency, unspoken deadlines. It flags “this client sounds upset” before you miss it.

Windows, Linux, web?+

Yes: desktop apps for Windows and Linux plus a web version ship with the public release. Waitlist members try everything first.

Why a waitlist instead of a download?+

The beta is small on purpose. Every new user gets a real setup conversation with the builder, not a docs link. Invites go out in waves.
